Felman: “Guido Rodríguez brings order, personality, and leadership to Valencia CF”

The Valencia CF legend speaks about his compatriot's talent

Valencia CF legend Darío Felman was the guest on VCF Media Radio's "l’Informatiu" this week, to discuss his compatriot Guido Rodríguez's adaptation to the club.

Guido Rodríguez

“He's an experienced player, a World Cup winner, and if he's chosen to be here, it's because he's going to be the 'mentor' of this team, thanks to his experience and the respect he'll bring to the dressing room by teaching the younger players what football is all about. It's not just about running after the ball.”

Performance

“He has the World Cup on the horizon. He's a spectacular player, as he already showed at Real Betis. He's a player with a lot of personality and footballing ability. He brings order, authority, personality, and leadership to the team. Valencia CF need this type of player.”

Guido and Beltrán

“They’re going to be a huge help to the squad: Whether that be bringing order to things, talking in the dressing room… There are a lot of things that will improve the team. Lucas is incredibly hard-working, one of those strikers who are a real nuisance for opposition defenders. He has speed and intuition. He brings a lot to the table.”

The connection with Javi Guerra

“In football, you have to be part of a small partnership. He feels comfortable with him. That’s the Javi Guerra we all want, and he’s going to learn a lot from Guido.”

Renzo Saravia

“The fact that he played in Brazil for so long means he’s been performing at a spectacular level. If he can replicate that here, he’ll contribute a lot to the team. He’s an experienced player.”
